Our Process

It Starts With a Conversation

At the outset of any possible placement, we make it a point to have a comprehensive conversation with you about your immediate requirement, including consideration of your culture and values, managerial and team personalities and existing skill sets. We work to understand what corporate and industry issues any successful proponent will face, as well as try to add value by understanding the perspective of your top producers. Once our mandate is clearly defined, we will leverage our experience and specialized knowledge to connect with leading candidates through research and direct sourcing, supported by selective advertising to quickly generate interest.

We Find the Top Candidates

A short list of candidates will be thoroughly assessed, using a variety of methods including, wherever practically possible, an in-person interview.  Psychometric tools may be used, and often a practical task-oriented assessment (ie. a work-related assignment) is prepared with the assistance and approval of the client, to aid in this analysis. When the final candidates are presented, we succinctly summarize each profile and discuss our findings with you. We also point out any concerns candidates may have with respect to the position and inform the client of their expectations.  Our assessments will be as objective and precise as possible with the intention of expediting and streamlining the process for the hiring manager.

Begin Your Interview Process

The client will ideally see the best three or four candidates and discuss this progress on an ongoing basis with us as the process moves forward. That being said, many searches are successfully completed upon the acceptance of one particularly strong candidate who closely meets all key attributes.

The Final Decision

An offer to the chosen candidate is usually provided on a conditional basis with a deadline for acceptance and is subject to your approval of detailed reference checks which we will be happy to perform on your behalf. Subject to each client’s specific requirements, we typically conduct a reference check phone interview with at least one past supervisor, one co-worker and one subordinate if relevant. Our detailed reference report is submitted to the client with as many specific comments from these checks as possible.

A Successful Transition

Upon placement of the successful proponent, we will continue to work with both client and candidate to ensure a smooth transition into the role. It is our commitment that the entire process will be fair and transparent, with a focus on the development of long-term mutually beneficial relationships.
